Fair rules for a shared home
Acceptable Use Policy
Your website shares a server with other small businesses. These rules keep it fast, safe and fair for everyone.
1. Never allowed
We’ll suspend these right away, without warning:
- Child sexual abuse material, or anything that exploits minors.
- Malware, phishing, fake login pages or scam websites.
- Spam: bulk email or SMS to people who didn’t ask for it.
- Hacking, port scanning or attacking other systems.
- Content that is illegal where you or we operate, including selling illegal goods.
- Threats, harassment, or promoting violence or hatred against people.
2. What our hosting isn’t for
These are allowed elsewhere, just not on shared small-business hosting:
- Cryptocurrency mining.
- Using your account as file storage or backup space for things that aren’t part of your website.
- Streaming or hosting large media downloads (host big videos on YouTube or Vimeo instead).
- Running game servers, proxies, VPNs, torrent tools or programs that run all the time.
- Reselling hosting, unless you’re in our Partner Program.
3. Fair use of “unlimited”
“Unlimited” email addresses and “unmetered” traffic have no fixed cap for normal small-business use. To keep the server fast for everyone, each account also has limits on server power (CPU, memory and running processes) and a limit of 250,000 files.
Almost no small business ever reaches them. If you do, we’ll contact you first and help: we might tidy up your site, cache it, or suggest a bigger plan. We never add charges without asking.
4. Email rules
- Send email only to people who agreed to hear from you, as CAN-SPAM and CASL require.
- Each account can send up to 300 emails an hour. For newsletters, use a mailing service such as Mailchimp.
- Every marketing email needs a working unsubscribe link.
5. How we handle problems
For most problems, we contact you first, explain what’s wrong, and give you a fair chance to fix it. We only suspend without warning for the serious problems in section 1, or when an account is harming the server or other customers right now. If you keep breaking the rules, we may close the account (see our Terms).
6. Report abuse or copyright problems
To report spam, malware, phishing or copyright problems on a site we host, email support@omeedigital.com with the subject “Abuse”. Include the website address and what you saw.
Copyright notices: we respond to valid US DMCA notices and forward notices under Canada’s notice-and-notice system. Include your contact details, the work being infringed, the exact web address and a statement that you’re the owner or authorized to act for them.
7. Contact
Call +1 (825) 561-7819, WhatsApp us, or email support@omeedigital.com. A real person will answer.
