14. Your Content
Your website, files and email belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy and back them up only so we can run the service. You’re responsible for making sure your content is legal.
The agreement, in plain English
These are the rules for using OMEE. We wrote them to be read, not to trip you up.
The price you pay when you sign up is the price you pay for as long as you stay subscribed, on that plan, without interruption. We will never raise your price. If you upgrade or downgrade plans, the new plan's price locks in the same way from that point forward.
All payments are final. We do not offer money-back guarantees or refunds for any plan, domain, or service. You can cancel at any time — see Section 4, “No Contract.”
We monitor our servers around the clock. If your website is unreachable for more than 1 continuous hour in a calendar month due to a failure on our servers or network, you will receive that month's hosting free as an account credit applied to your next invoice. This does not apply to downtime caused by your own website code, third-party plugins, DNS changes you made, scheduled maintenance we notify you of in advance, or events outside our control (e.g. internet backbone outages, force majeure).
There is no long-term contract. You may cancel your plan at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period. Your domain name remains registered in your name and is yours to keep or transfer, whether you stay with us or not.
Domain prices are locked at the price shown at the time of purchase or renewal and do not increase year over year for as long as you keep the domain registered with us. A domain included free with a yearly hosting plan is free for the first year only; it renews at the standard listed price in year two and beyond. If a domain is allowed to fully expire and enters redemption status, the registrar's redemption fee applies to restore it, as listed on our pricing page.
If you have a website hosted elsewhere, we will move it to OMEE Digital at no charge. We'll confirm the move is complete and working before your old hosting is cancelled.
We take a backup of your website daily on every plan. Backups are a safety net for our own disaster recovery and are not a substitute for you keeping your own copies of important files.
Plans are billed monthly or annually in USD/CAD. Paying annually gives you 2 months free compared to paying monthly. Checkout and billing are handled through our secure client portal at clients.omeedigital.com.
Web designers and developers can earn a share of the hosting payments made by clients they send us. The full Partner Program rules are in our help centre, under Partner Program.
Your account may not be used to host illegal content, malware, spam infrastructure, or anything that abuses shared server resources to the detriment of other customers. We'll always contact you first about a concern before taking any action, except in cases of active harm to other customers or the network.
Unlimited websites and email accounts are included within your plan’s disk space (30 GB, 50 GB or 100 GB).
Support is available by phone, day or night: +1 (825) 561-7819.
We may update these terms from time to time. The Price-Lock Guarantee in Section 1 will never be changed to your disadvantage on an existing, active plan. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date.
You must be at least 18, or ordering for a business you can legally act for. Keep your contact details up to date and your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens in your account.
Your website, files and email belong to you. You give us permission to store, copy and back them up only so we can run the service. You’re responsible for making sure your content is legal.
No hosting company can promise a website will never go down. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your state or province, or any liability that the law says can’t be limited.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first. Most problems are fixed with one message.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, unless the consumer protection laws of your own state or province give you the right to use your local laws and courts.
These terms work together with our Price Lock Promise, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and Cancelling page. If any of them seem to disagree, the reading that’s better for you wins.
Questions about these terms? Contact us before signing up or at any time during your service: call +1 (825) 561-7819, WhatsApp us, or email support@omeedigital.com.
